I’ve been reading for 30-odd years now, and since I majored in English back in the day, I’ve basically been taught to professionally criticize books. Add in my 10+ years of experience as a content editor, and my whole life is basically uncovering what works and doesn’t work in a given piece of writing.
In this blog, I review the weird, the wacky, and the surreal — hence the name, Spectral Reads. I wanted to choose something that conveyed the otherworldly genres I like reading, like fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, horror, and everything in between.
